1. Controller

This website is operated as part of the consortium project “SEMICONDUCTOR-AI” on behalf of Infineon Technologies AG, Neubiberg.
2. Event registration
When you register for an event, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally organisation and a message) in order to handle your registration and run the event. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures).
Where we ask about dietary preferences or allergies for an event, providing this is voluntary. To the extent that such information constitutes health data (Art. 9 GDPR), it is processed solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
3. Payments and invoices
For paid events we process payments via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). You enter your payment details (e.g. card data) directly with Stripe; we do not receive them. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Invoices are stored to comply with statutory retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, § 147 AO; usually 10 years).
4. Mailing lists
For our mailing lists we use Mailman 3. Subscription uses a double-opt-in procedure; the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by contacting us.
5. Email delivery
For transactional emails (e.g. registration confirmations) we use Resend; for sending mailing-list mail we use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, EU). Your email address is processed for the purpose of delivery.
6. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted on a server located in the European Union (Germany). When the site is accessed, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, requested resource) is processed in server logs to ensure operation and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
7. Cookies
We only use a strictly necessary session cookie for the admin login. We do not use tracking or marketing cookies, so a cookie banner is not required.
8. Recipients / processors
We use carefully selected service providers as processors (Stripe – payments; Resend and Brevo – email delivery). Where data is transferred to third countries (e.g. the USA), this is based on appropriate safeguards (in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
9. Retention
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the stated purposes or required by statutory retention periods.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
